INFORMATION ON LICENSURE
IN NEVADA

- LICENSING INFORMATION EFFECTIVE
JULY 1st, 2007
As of July 1st, 2007, the following are the requirements for licensure as an
optometrist in the State of Nevada:

A passing score on all three parts of
the National Board of Examiners in Optometry examination;

A score of 75 or higher on the Nevada
Law Examination;
The fee for the law exam is $250, which must be submitted with the application.
The application can be downloaded from our web site.
Applicants may take the law exam through the NBEO when Part III is offered. The
deadline for filing applications with Nevada for the spring exam is February
15th; the deadline for the fall exam is June 15th. Applicants must register with
Nevada and with the NBEO; and
The exam is also offered on an ongoing basis at the Board office in Carson City,
Nevada.

Prior to the time your application for
licensure is presented to the Board, the following documents must have been
received:
Undergraduate and optometry school transcripts; and
A copy of a current CPR card.
